Time for a tipple…?

We’re pleased to announce we have stocked up on some fantastic new wines on our Summer Wine List. If you’re into classic Provence rosé, then the Source Gabriel Rosé AOC is the right choice. Light pink in colour, this rosé offers aromas of flowers and citrus fruit on the nose. Elegant, refreshing and a real crowd-pleaser.

We have another Corney & Barrow favourite, La Muse de Cabestany, a French Pinot Noir not to be sniffed at! Silky and supple in texture, this soft red is fresh and has a lingering finish. On the whites, we have a new Pinot Grigio – the Montevento IGT. Well-balanced and refreshing with delicate notes of grilled almonds and a light, citrus finish. Make mine a large!

We’d also like to introduce to you our new craft beer on tap…East Coast IPA. Punchy citrus aroma of American hops combined with the easy drinking refreshment of classic British pale ale…enjoy! New to our bottled beer range is  Goose Island’s 312 – Urban Wheat Ale. Inspired by the city of Chicago and densely populated with flavor, 312’s spicy aroma of Cascade hops is followed by a crisp, fruity ale flavour delivered in a smooth, creamy body that’s immensely refreshing.

We now have an excellent Spanish (Catalonian) ‘Mas Oliveras Rosado’ on our Summer Wine List. A refreshing Cabernet Sauvignon blend that’s lively, bright and fruity. It’s dry character and tart raspberry acidity makes it mouthwatering and very moreish!

If you’re into your craft ales, a perfect choice for a mild summer’s day would be the ‘Old Golden Hen’. At only 4.1%, it’s smooth, easy to drink and has a good level of bitterness to provide a crisp finish. Very refreshing indeed! Also, accompanies a great fish dish, a light chicken salad or a dish with a bit of spice….nice!

Last but not least, we have the award-winning, ‘Aspall Harry Sparrow’ 4.6% medium-dry cider. A clear mid golden colour with clean bittersweet fruit aroma and cedar wood overtones. Suitable for coeliacs, vegetarians & vegans. However, tastes great with braised beef!
